My favorite part of the Great Smoky's was Cades Cove.  If you're looking for a place to get away and spend some time in the serene wilderness, then Cades Cove is the place to go.  With its picture perfect scenery, abundance of wildlife, and rich history, anyone can  find something to love in Cades Cove.  It has an 11 mile loop that you can drive through and get out of your car at time to view the Great Smoky Black Bears!  I stood 15-20 feet from a female black bear for about an hour; it was quite and experience to say the least.  Watching National Geographic on TV had nothing on this real life experience.  My only regret was not having a good camera with me to get some great pictures. There is pleaty of bear, dear, wild turkey, and horses to see here.  Early morning or late evening is the best time to catch a glimpse of these visitors.  Gem mining was my daughters favorite part; she could do it over and over and it brought Webkinzs to life for her lol. A few other  things  you can do here is rafting, tubing, adverture  golf  + mini golf,  nascar speedpark,  Dollywood  water park,  shark aquarium, lazer tag, tons of trail to walk,  helicopter  tours, and imagine having dinner and watching a performance that is packed with an extraordinary variety of talent and music.
